On February 9, 2021, CAIPER'S Director, Dr. Barret Michalec, joined Edson College's Center for Mindfulness, Compassion and Resilience for their Midday Mindfulness series hosted by Dr. Teri Pipe, ASU Chief Well-being Officer, and Dr. Nika Gueci, Executive Director for University Engagement.
In the episode, Advancing the Humility Paradigm, Dr. Michalec discusses how his work in empathy led him to explore the concept of humility and provides background on humility including how it relates to mindfulness. He outlines connections within health professions education and care delivery and shares everyday practices for faculty and students to "exercise" their humility muscles.
