HIIT for Humility™ is an innovative new training like nothing you’ve seen before. Organized into a Virtual Guide, HIIT for Humility™ outlines the core principles of humility and offers practical “workouts” to enhance individuals' humility “muscles.”

Drawing from interdisciplinary research and collaboration with experts, HIIT for Humility™ takes inspiration from High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) to provide dynamic approaches to humility development.

Individuals who learn and practice the humility exercises will gain a foundational understanding of key humility-oriented concepts and theories as well as the real-world and work-related applicability of each workout. Upon completion, individuals will have learned a powerful set of exercises that can be used on an ongoing basis to strengthen, build, and maintain personal and professional humility.

 

Course Overview

HIIT for Humility™ is organized as a Virtual Guide. Viewing the Guide’s Introduction to Humility unlocks a series of "workouts" that can be learned and practiced in any order. The workouts are designed to be comprehensive, efficient, engaging, and impactful.

Learning a new workout takes approximately 10-20 minutes. The recommended frequency and duration for practicing each workout varies and is detailed in the workout instructions.

In the style of High-Intensity Interval Trainings (HIIT) seen in popular fitness magazines, each workout:

  • Describes what “muscles” the workout is intended to strengthen
  • Explains the real-world and work-related applicability of the workout
  • Includes visual and/or animated examples

The guide also features brief common-language discussions of key humility-oriented concepts, as well as additional resources, to offer a more holistic understanding and application of the practice of humility. Many workouts progress from light and medium to heavy lifts to slowly stretch and strengthen the related humility muscles.

The workouts focus on critical skills for building humility, such as listening, gratitude, acknowledgement, confidence, observation, and authenticity, among others.
