CAIPER Trainings

The course is beneficial for both students and clinicians in all health professions. The content is relevant for any practice setting – including hospitals, clinics, long-term care, home care, and others. 

This microlearning course is designed for brief, just-in-time learning that prepares learners to recognize and implement strategies for an optimal and interprofessional CLE.

The course is comprised of seven 15-20 minute modules that include microlearning videos, discussion questions to facilitate team engagement and knowledge checks to reinforce key concepts. The modules may be used by individual learners or in a group setting and are especially effective for engaging students and team members in discussions about improving their CLE.

Learners who successfully complete the course will earn a digital credential in I-TEAM By Design™: Interprofessional Training in Empathy, Affect and Mindfulness.

Personalized Certificates of Completion are also awarded for successful completion of the course, formalizing a learner’s efforts and providing documentation that can be submitted to instructors or employers.

Upon course completion, learners are eligible for 3.5 continuing education credits in 5 different health and social care professions.

1. AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ – CME: 3.5 credit hours for course completion.
2. Nursing Continuing Professional Development – NCPD: 3.5 credit hours for course completion.
3. Psychology – APA: 3.5 credit hours for course completion.
4. Social Work – ACE: 3.5 credit hours for course completion.
5. Interprofessional Continuing Education – IPCE: 3.5 credit hours for course completion.

In support of improving patient care, Arizona State University is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

 

Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs.

 

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Arizona State University is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Board’s (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Arizona State University maintains responsibility for this course. Social Workers completing this course receive 3.5 credit hours of continuing education credits per individual session.
