Interprofessional Collaborative Team Practice
The Center for Advancing Interprofessional Practice, Education and Research (CAIPER) is working with academic and healthcare organizations, and transforming healthcare delivery through interprofessional collaborative team practice.
To advance interprofessional collaborative team practice in Arizona, CAIPER and community healthcare providers in the Phoenix metro area have established interprofessional practice sites where health professions students from different disciplines and universities are learning to work together as members of high-quality collaborative teams.
These practice sites are part of the Center's goal to integrate competency-based teamwork and collaborative education so students are actively engaged in practice-based initiatives to improve patient, community and population-based outcomes. Students engage in collaborative projects designed to improve the quality of care and address social issues that impact health.
